Life Vest Racing, The Best Zoo Visit, My 1st In-N-Out Burger!

Swimming weather...will it last forever?

Savanah and Andrew are preparing for a life vest diaper, paddle race.

Is it socially unacceptable to have your picture taken with your mouth full?
The cousins Uncle Joe was entertaining the kids at the koi pond, with some kind of "crazy dance" the kids loved it, Go Uncle Joe!

Lacy and Millie are SO CUTE together!
.
The squirrel monkey really liked the girls' hats.

AWWW! AWWW! AWWW! Ry was shifting into gear.Faster, Faster, Faster!

Ry keeps licking his chin (as shown in these photos). Bunny your ear is in the way! There's Ry .

Andrew chose the alligator.

Here's my first visit to In-N-Out Burger! Oh, I'm not in the picture, but I was there...Yum! Thanks Lacy and Joe, that was a great morning and a great lunch!

Touch Down!!!!

Zach scored his first touch down today!
Ms. Stiener (his amazing 2nd grade teacher-cousin to April Steiner, US Olympic pole vaulter), Aunt Lacy, Uncle Joe, Joseph, Millie, Savanah, Eli, Nathaniel, Andrew, Ry, Ryon, and I were all there.
He virtually had his own cheering section, how fun!
Nathaniel's team won again, undefeated!
He is a great athlete!
I didn't get to see Eli's game today, but Ryon said Eli did a fantastic job. He never let his guy tackle the ball carrier. Great effort Eli!

Saturday Football

Zach's flag football team could quite easily be mistaken for a soccer team! Even though every once in a while the little guys forget about the flags and wrap another kid's legs up nice and tight and take them right to the turf!
Zach's game was our second game of the day at 9am.
Ryon started eating Doritos at the fields at about 7:30am, which is NOT our normal protocol!
Zach is #15, our preferred family number is 9.

Eli is 99, he looks less and less like a little child every day! And now weight is no longer an issue, he makes weigh-in's by about 3-4 pounds, whew! I'm so glad that is over!

Yesterday Ryon took Nathaniel to Scottsdale at 6:15am for the Seminoles to continue their winning streak, I missed that game so I could take Zach & Eli to play in Gilbert. Zach's team was right on for their game! They made a touch down on the first play of the game and almost every possession there after. Zach even got to carry the ball once and made some great defensive plays, even though his coach still likes to play him mostly as a blocker on the offense. Zach's team is constantly improving, and it's great to see.

Eli's team is also getting better, but after (I think) 4 fumbles and lots of lost yardage they were feeling beat yesterday before they were. Eli made a great tackle, taking down the ball carrier. The team they played was made up of only 11 & 12 year olds, who apparently had played quite a few years already and were all quite tall. I'm sure our boys were intimidated, and out-played. Although, I really believe Eli's team will possibly score next week for the first time this season , we'll have to wait and see. I'm so glad they are all having fun!

How about you, you, you? You can come too, too, too!

We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How about you, you, you? You can come too, too, too! We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo.
We headed to the zoo this morning around 7:30am with our friends Sherri, Austin, and Danica. It was a great zoo day, and my favorite way to tour the zoo is definitely on a bike.

The baby zebra was out in the open today. Squirrel monkeys were very close to the trail and they were having lots of fun.
The bear was sleeping on the rocks in the waterfall.
Ryon was having a great time pretending to drive the jeep out of the jungle.
Ryon and an orangutan hand.

White rhinos

Being so close to the animals is a great part of the Phoenix Zoo.

Everyone was ready for a rest when the morning was over. Andrew is happy to have his photo taken lately.

We took a few minutes to rest at the fish pond on our way in and on our way out. The fish are so beautiful and relaxing.
