Boys will be boys..."frogs, and snails, and puppy dog tails". Notice no mention of the rest of the dog?... My boys dug a fox hole about 10 feet from the chicken coop. It's big enough for all 5 of them to fit into it at the same time. And today (Feb. 8th)Eli was holed up in it with his gun (the BB gun grandpa bought him for Christmas). And just a few minutes later he comes in asking, "Can we eat quail for dinner?" (Not tonight...it's in the freezer now.) So, the boys just finished cleaning the quail (all 4" of it)...and they found the seeds we feed the chickens, "proof it was stealing from us" was what Nathaniel said. I guess stealing is punishable by death at our place?! I love where we live!
We bought 25 red star chicks a few days ago. They are so cute! The kids have enjoyed playing with them.
