Back to the Science Center This Time to See the Pirates

I felt an overwhelming feeling of happiness, as I was making dinner one night last week, that the broccoli was from our garden, the chicken from our chickens, and there was a #10 can with 21 eggs in it from our layers. It's all coming together!

Last week I took Zach, Andrew, and Ry to the Science Center...during school, even though I took Andrew and Ry last week. I haven't done that for a long time (taken the kids out of school for a field trip...but sometimes, it sounds like a good thing to take a break from education and see what we can learn from a museum. I had a lot of fun with the boys, we went to the pirate exhibit and learned about real pirates that sailed off the coast of Cape Cod 300 years ago. We learned about physics, and behavioral sciences, and the oceanic conveyor. It was all very fun, even feeding the pigeons and little birds during our picnic lunch. The boys looked through what looked like a telescope and their eyes were projected on the lens of a telescope like object jetting out of the ceiling (very Dr. Seuss like). And they each took a turn laying on the bed of nails and touching pieces of 8.
